The general tendency a day in the big tankers is a relatively long tonnage list with some bullish sentiment in Suez and Aframax last week. It has been a busy period with export from the Mexican Gulf which reflects in the entirely acceptable rates. There is very little activity to declare in VLCC.

The seasonal pressure in Capesize is vividly shown with further rate fallings. The rates are today far below B/E in this class. It is especially the decreasing Chinese demand after iron ore and challenges with the weather in Brazil that quenches the export activity. That being said, the rates are falling marginally in the smaller classes, even though they continue on levels over B/E.
