The rates remain stable at high levels with crude tankers. The VLCC’s in particular have had a positive week with increased activity and earnings. Calmer week for Suezmax and aframax. Averages in the spot market have decreased somewhat for aframax, but 12-month leases have increased in the last week.

Very volatile market recently. Capesize in particular experiences large fluctuations, where the rates have strengthened somewhat. A more positive week in the panamax sector, where increased exports of grain in the Atlantic have been the key driver for increased rates. Capesize has seen a minimal gain with rates around OPEX in several regions.
