Strong momentum in the VLCC market now, where the average rate for a VLCC without scrubbers rises by 91% from the previous week (highest level since the pandemic started). This mainly comes as a result of the US exporting record volumes. Suez and Afra remain stable at high levels.

Rates continue to show weakness, with Capesize falling to its lowest level in 7 months, mainly as a result of weaker Chinese demand and less congestion in the ports. Handysize has fallen to its lowest level in 18 months.
