The rates continue the good momentum in the VLCC segment as a result of shorter tonnage lists. The fundamentals show slow but sure strengthening, with increasing volumes and activity down the line, where VLCC owners are finally in a leading position. Suez and Afra are at steady levels compared to last week.

The weak momentum in dry cargo continues, although activity in Capesize in particular has picked up as a result of mines in Western Australia returning to the market. We are on our way into a stronger season beyond the harvest, where the reopening of China is expected to drive rates up again.
